Position Summary 

Caldwell Electrical Contractors is hiring a hands-on marketing professional to own the company’s digital presence and turn our work into clear, useful content. This role will lead the redesign and ongoing management of our website, build and execute the social media plan, and personally capture and edit photos and video at our office, customer locations, and active jobsites. 

The right person can move comfortably between planning and production. They can interview a customer, work safely around a field crew, edit a strong video, update a web page, and use performance data to decide what to create next.

Our team supports manufacturers, facilities, contractors, and other customers through electrical construction, maintenance, automation, engineering, arc flash services, and 24-hour emergency response. Primary Responsibilities 

Website and Digital Presence 

  • Lead the redesign of the company website, including site structure, page priorities, copy, imagery, project case studies, mobile usability, basic search engine optimization, and contact paths. 
  • Maintain the website in its content management system and keep service pages, project information, careers content, team information, and calls to action current. 
  • Coordinate with outside designers or developers when custom coding, hosting, security, or specialized technical work is required. 
  • Use website and search analytics to monitor traffic, visitor behavior, inquiries, and content performance. 

Marketing Plan and Social Media 

  • Build an annual marketing plan and practical content calendar in partnership with company leadership. 
  • Manage approved company pages, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, and adapt content to the purpose and audience of each platform. 
  • Plan, write, schedule, publish, and monitor posts, short-form video, stories, project updates, employee features, recruiting content, and customer success stories. 
  • Monitor comments and messages, respond professionally, and route customer or applicant inquiries to the appropriate team member. 
  • Report key results each month and adjust the content plan based on reach, engagement, website activity, inquiries, and recruiting response. 

Photo Video and Design 

  • Plan and capture professional photos and video in office, field, event, and customer settings. 
  • Edit short-form and long-form video, photos, graphics, captions, audio, and branded visual elements for digital and print use. 
  • Conduct employee and customer interviews and help people feel comfortable speaking on camera. 
  • Maintain an organized, searchable library of approved photos, video, logos, releases, and finished content. 
  • Create or update basic marketing materials such as project sheets, recruiting pieces, event graphics, presentations, and digital ads as needed. 

Field and Customer Content 

  • Schedule regular visits to active and completed jobsites without disrupting field operations or customer production. 
  • Coordinate with project managers, foremen, safety personnel, and customer contacts before capturing or publishing content. 
  • Develop customer testimonial and project story opportunities, obtain the required approvals, and protect confidential or security-sensitive information. 
  • Follow company and customer safety requirements, including personal protective equipment and site-specific rules, during every field visit. 

Brand and Communication 

  • Maintain a consistent company voice, visual identity, and standard of quality across all channels. 
  • Work with operations, service, automation, safety, human resources, and recruiting teams to identify stories and communication needs. 
  • Manage approved vendors, freelancers, advertising partners, and project budgets when outside support is needed. 
  • Stay current on platform changes, content formats, website practices, and practical uses of new marketing tools. 


Required Qualifications 

  • At least three years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, communications, or a related role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • A portfolio that shows original work in video, photography, social media, web content, and visual design. A portfolio is required for consideration. 
  • Demonstrated ability to film and edit video and to edit photos using Adobe Creative Cloud, DaVinci Resolve, Canva, CapCut, or comparable professional tools. 
  • Experience managing a website through WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, or another content management system. 
  • Strong writing, interviewing, project management, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Working knowledge of social media analytics, website analytics, search engine optimization, and content performance reporting. 
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and follow projects through to completion. 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.


Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in construction, electrical contracting, industrial services, manufacturing, or another business-to-business environment. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, journalism, or a related field. 
  • Experience with customer relationship management systems, email marketing, paid digital advertising, or marketing automation. 
  • FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate and experience capturing lawful commercial drone footage. 
  • Experience coordinating website, photography, video, or design vendors. 


Work Environment and Physical Requirements 

This role works in both an office and active construction or industrial environments. Field conditions may include outdoor weather, noise, dust, uneven surfaces, stairs, and customer-controlled work areas. The employee must be able to walk and stand for extended periods during content visits, safely carry camera and production equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, and wear required personal protective equipment. 1  Website ownership  The website is accurate, current, easy to navigate, and supported by a clear improvement plan. 

2  Consistent content  CEC maintains a dependable publishing cadence that reflects field work, customer value, company culture, and recruiting needs. 

3  Quality production  Photos, video, writing, and design meet a professional standard and are organized for reuse. 

4  Useful measurement  Leadership receives a concise monthly report showing results and recommended changes. 

5  Trusted relationships  Field teams and customers view the marketing process as organized, respectful, safe, and worthwhile.
