JOB TITLE:                Echocardiology Technologist    
DEPARTMENT:          Radiology
REPORTS TO:           Cardiopulmonary Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs diagnostic medical echocardiography procedures as ordered and according to protocols of the cardiologist.
                                                        POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•    Explain procedure to patient and position patient according to protocol for best possible imaging.
•    Competently perform echocardiography procedures according to cardiologist protocol.
•    Administer applicable contrast media according to cardiologist protocol.
•    Review studies for overall quality
•    Organize daily work schedule for minimal wait times.
•    Transmit imaging to cardiologist for interpretation through established secure connection.
•    Interact professionally with patients, colleagues and other co-workers to efficiently complete daily tasks.
•    Participate in continuing education activities as required by Caldwell Medical Center.
•    Performs other duties as assigned.
 

MINIMUM EDUCATION  
Registered in echocardiography from an accredited school
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
1-2 YEARS
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
1-2 YEARS
