Responsibilities
- Safely transport prepared food from the kitchen to designated tables or areas, adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling procedures.
- Assist with food plating and presentation when needed, supporting the culinary team in food preparation tasks.
- Clear and clean tables efficiently by bussing dishes, glassware, and utensils, maintaining a clean dining environment.
- Support the restaurant team by managing food running duties during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Handle food handling responsibilities with care, ensuring all items are served at proper temperatures and in compliance with food safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to coordinate orders accurately.
- Assist with general cleaning duties in the dining area, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; familiarity with banquet or hotel service is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and guests.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices during busy shifts.
