Position Summary
The Sales & Business Analyst drives revenue growth and operational efficiency through data-driven insights, pricing strategy, and cross-functional collaboration. This hybrid role blends sales analytics, pricing governance, and business intelligence to support strategic decision-making across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, IT, and Distribution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead price change planning and implementation across business units
- Develop bid pricing strategies, margin analysis, and scenario modeling
- Monitor pricing performance and identify margin improvement opportunities
- Maintain pricing calendars, libraries, and contract/job pricing structures
- Support value-based, tiered, and dynamic pricing initiatives
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
- Develop and monitor KPIs related to revenue, margin, and customer behavior
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports on sales performance and profitability
- Conduct market, competitor, and customer-level analysis
- Partner with Sales, IT, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, and DC teams
- Translate business questions into reporting requirements and data solutions
- Support dashboards, reporting models, and data validation processes
- Identify inefficiencies in pricing, reporting, and business processes
- Document workflows, requirements, and system improvements
- Support CRM, ERP, and reporting tool enhancements
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership
- Provide data for planning, forecasting, negotiations, and strategy
- Support cost-benefit and feasibility analysis for business initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field
- 3 years in sales analysis, business analysis, or pricing analysis
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI, SQL, or similar tools preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (P21 preferred)
- Strong understanding of margin, pricing structures, and revenue analytics
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
