Data Management Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Data Management Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives focused on process optimization, system modernization, and operational transformation within a dynamic data management environment. This role will drive the retirement of a legacy land ID generation system and oversee migration to the Land Services Database platform while ensuring operational continuity, data integrity, and improved business performance.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized project leader with strong stakeholder management, system migration, and process improvement experience who can effectively navigate complex cross-functional environments and drive alignment across teams.

Primary Objective:
- Sunset legacy land ID generation system
- Migrate operations to the Land Services Database platform

Core Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for system migration and process improvement initiatives
- Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, risk management, and dependency mapping
- Coordinate activities across Data Management, IT, and business teams
- Manage system retirement timelines and mitigation strategies to minimize operational impact
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and alignment across internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct status meetings and provide executive-level reporting and project updates
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Drive SLA improvements and establish performance metrics to measure operational success
- Lead change management and user adoption initiatives to support successful implementation
- Facilitate workshops, decision-making sessions, and stakeholder meetings
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies while developing contingency plans
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and engagement across project teams
Required Qualifications
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- PMP certification preferred
- Agile/Scrum certifications highly desirable
Experience:
- 10–11 years of project management experience
- Proven experience leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives in complex environments
- Strong background in stakeholder management and business process optimization
- Experience managing projects with significant external dependencies
- Proven success delivering projects on time and within budget
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency with project management tools including MS Project and Jira
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting, presentations, and executive communication
- Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project methodologies
- Familiarity with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting
- Knowledge of workflow optimization and business process modeling tools preferred
