Key Responsibilities:
Build relationships through in-person outreach at businesses, retail locations, real estate offices, mortgage companies, and other environments.Participate in company-sponsored marketing events to enhance visibility and generate leads.Engage in local community activities such as charity events, school functions, and sports gatherings to create marketing opportunities and connect with prospects.Represent the company in the community through professional networking, exchanging business cards, and initiating conversations to generate interest in life insurance products.Prospect for new partnerships and group opportunities to expand the customer base.Schedule and conduct follow-up appointments in person, outside of the office.Sell Life and Health insurance products with minimal supervision.Learn and apply product knowledge and effective sales techniques.Generate leads through various marketing channels including mailings, referrals, networking, websites, and seminars.Assess client needs and recommend appropriate coverage.Prepare proposals and conduct closing interviews for Life and Health Insurance sales.Process applications and documentation in accordance with company policies.Maintain records of prospecting and sales activities, meeting production standards and persistency goals.
Required Qualifications:
Active state-issued Life Insurance license(s)Ability and willingness to complete LUTC or CLU courseworkValid state driver’s licenseAbility to obtain and maintain any additional licenses or appointments required for selling membership-related products
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of successful experience in life insurance salesBackground in selling intangible products or services
Successful Candidates Will Demonstrate:
Strong knowledge of Life Insurance and Annuity productsAbility to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate solutionsClear and effective communication of complex insurance conceptsSkill in preparing proposals and conducting closing interviewsUnderstanding of insurance policy standards and customer requirementsProficiency in calculating premiums and policy valuesStrong relationship-building and client retention skillsConsistent prospecting and achievement of sales goalsCollaborative mindset and ability to work well with team membersEffective communication with internal partners and leadership regarding lead status and sales activityUnderstanding of the tax and legal implications of insurance productsExcellent organizational, planning, and time management abilitiesStrong written communication skills for routine correspondenceAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
