Summary
Calculated Hire is seeking experienced Payroll Tax Analysts to support a Fortune 200 Oil & Gas client within a rapidly evolving Global Business Services (GBS) environment. This role will focus on payroll tax compliance, multi-entity/global tax support, and related accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage payroll tax compliance across multiple entities, including federal, state, and international jurisdictions
- Support global payroll tax reporting, filings, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with cross-border tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Partner with Payroll, Tax, and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and remittances
- Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and support the financial close process
- Assist with global tax provisioning (ASC 740) and related disclosures (10-Q / 10-K)
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare supporting documentation for audits
- Maintain and enhance SOX controls and compliance documentation
- Support tax forecasting and planning activities across multiple regions
- Leverage SAP to extract, validate, and analyze payroll and tax data across a global landscape
- Contribute to GBS transformation initiatives, improving processes and driving efficiencies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in payroll tax, tax compliance, or related accounting functions
- Strong experience with multi-state and/or international payroll tax compliance
- Hands-on experience with SAP (required); SAP S/4HANA strongly preferred
- Understanding of cross-border payroll tax and multi-entity structures
- Knowledge of US GAAP and tax accounting principles (ASC 740 exposure preferred)
- Experience supporting financial close, reconciliations, and reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in high-volume environments
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-changing, ambiguous environment
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or progress toward certification
- Experience with GlobalView, ADP SmartCompliance, OneSource, Alteryx, or Power BI
- Prior experience in Oil & Gas or large multinational organizations
- Exposure to global tax provisioning and international compliance frameworks
- Experience supporting shared services / GBS models
