Financial Auditor – Associate (Staff Level)

Location: Fort Meade, MD or Springfield, VA

Work Type: On-site (5 days/week in secure facility)

Clearance: TS/SCI (Polygraph preferred)

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Auditor (Associate level) to support federal financial statement audits within the intelligence community. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact engagements supporting national security missions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support financial statement audits for federal/intelligence community clients
• Perform audit testing, documentation, and analysis in accordance with federal audit standards
• Assist in evaluating internal controls and identifying areas of risk
• Prepare workpapers and contribute to audit reports and findings
• Collaborate with audit teams and client stakeholders in a secure environment
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and government auditing standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required)
• 2–3 years of relevant audit or accounting experience
• Understanding of federal accounting/audit standards (preferred)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work full-time on-site in a SCIF environment

Clearance Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance required
• Polygraph (Full Scope or CI) strongly preferred
• Candidates without polygraph may be eligible for sponsorship
