District Manager

Salary Range: $141k-212k
Our client is seeking a District Manager to lead a district of retail grocery stores to deliver exceptional customer experiences, strong financial results, and a culture of inclusion and growth. You'll spend meaningful time on the floor — coaching leaders, driving execution, and building the next generation of store talent.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Coach and develop store leadership teams through regular floor visits, with a focus on merchandising execution and operational excellence
- Own district P&L performance — driving sales growth, controlling expenses, and hitting targets for shrink, safety, and labor
- Partner with store leaders to identify gaps, build action plans, and follow through on results
- Provide field-level feedback to division and corporate teams on the effectiveness of programs, initiatives, and communications
- Understand the competitive landscape in your geography and share insights with field merchandisers
- Lead capital project evaluation — supporting ROI accountability and identifying future investment opportunities
- Strengthen store–community relationships and champion inclusive, welcoming environments for associates and customers alike
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-potential store leaders — including identifying candidates for future District Manager roles
- Align district priorities with division and company-wide strategy through regular engagement with the division President
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years multi-unit retail supervision
- Prior store manager or senior leadership role within the company
- Retail merchandising experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree
- District Manager training
- Leadership skills training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- High initiative and self-direction
Salary : $141,000 - $212,000
