Used Car Technician

Calavan Kia - CDJR is looking for a used car technician that is well versed in working on a variety of used car manufactured products. Calavan Kia - CDJR reconditions and sells over 130 used vehicles per month, which include foreign and domestic cars, trucks, and SUVs. Prior Kia experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with the Used Car management team so that they are informed on the status of Used Car vehicles.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, etc.
• Perform work specified by the service advisor in a timely and efficient manner.
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure proper repairs.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• 2 years of Service Technician experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification a plus.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service and basic computer skills.
• Enjoy working in a demanding environment.
• Capable of working well and getting along with fellow employees.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Flat rate pay will be based on experience, certifications, and proven performance.
• A positive, friendly attitude, with a willingness for improvement necessary.
