Position: Safety Mgmt Coordinator

Location: ONSITE - Huntsville, AL 35810
Pay Rate: OPEN/Market Rate (W2 only)

Seeking to hire a highly motivated Contractor Safety Representative for our Manufacturing Alabama plants. They will be lead all aspects of TMMAL contractor safety program to ensure team member safety and regulatory compliance. You will be required balance company-wide operational hoshin priorities with the obligation to team member safety and compliance through the translation of complex safety regulatory interpretations into actionable instructions and development of technically accurate, standardized safety policies, standards, and programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Work with and direct contractors to implement construction safety management systems and other safety requirements.
• Provide safety leadership for both new and existing construction projects including structural steel, mechanical and electrical equipment installation, etc.
• Lead weekly contractor safety representatives’ meetings made up of trades working on the TMMAL site.
• Conduct formal safety audits of activities related to construction and equipment installation.
• Review contractor JSA’s to confirm completeness and accuracy of work being performed.
• Lead, support and participate in key safety initiatives at TMMAL.
• Manage multiple reports for local, regional, and regulatory agencies, and internal/global reporting.
• Calculate risks and challenge the status quo with deep analysis of the situation.
• Develop and present PowerPoint presentations to communicate incident reports, work rule changes, plant status, etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• 5 years of experience leading safety on construction projects with multiple trades. (MUST have Constructions Safety background/experience)
• Experience managing projects requiring critical thinking, problem solving, data analysis & verification.
• Required – OSHA 30 Construction Industry Outreach Program (U.S.)
• Required – OSHA 510 Construction Industry Standards (U.S.)
• Required – Knowledge of applicable consensus standards i.e., NFPA 70E/CSA Z462
• Capable of developing and delivering presentations, generating effective reports, conducting applicable standards research
• Manage customer expectations and work to find mutually agreeable solutions.
Other Requirements:
• 25%: Over-time - which covers weekends, holidays, and shutdowns, when required
