JOB DETAILS:
Position:Construction Coordinator (Commercial or Industrial)
JOB REF#:44790 - 1503086
Duration:8 Months ( Contract)
Location:ONSITE - Buffalo, WV 25033
Pay Rate:$45.00 - $48.75 per hour (W2 ONLY)
** This is role is 100% ONSITE, no remote work offered - LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY!! **
HOURS: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM; Rotational shifts may apply based on project needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Responsible for renovation and refurbishment of existing facilities (childcare centres, caf s, offices, restrooms, etc.) and new construction at sites in West Virginia and other U.S. plants.
Solvers problems for quality inspections (concrete, slabs, vertical structures, electrical tasks, etc.).
Ensure work meets high quality and accuracy standards consistent with requirements.
Review drawings and specifications to ensure work is completed in accordance with the construction documents.
Reads and review construction schedules, create 3-week lookaheads, and conduct whiteboard meetings to identify constraints, assign responsibility, and escalate issues to the Project Leader.
Conducts quality inspections and supporting commissioning activities, including Kanban.
Conduct constructability reviews to see if drawings/specifications are good quality and don t have conflicts/ambiguities.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
OSHA 30 certification or higher is required with extensive safety oversight experience
10 years as a Construction Coordinator with extensive construction experience, preferably as a superintendent or construction manager at a general contractor of Owner representative company, and 10 years of experience.
Required experience: supervisor, superintendent, or construction manager.
Must have recent experience in commercial or industrial construction
Able to review drawings and specifications to ensure work is completed in accordance with the construction documents.
Able to read and review construction schedules, create 3-week lookaheads, and conduct whiteboard meetings to identify constraints, assign responsibility, and escalate issues to the Project Leader.
Conducted quality inspections and supporting commissioning activities, including Kanban.
Expert problem-solver responsible for quality inspections (concrete, slabs, vertical structures, electrical tasks, etc.).
Strong hands-on proficiency with Bluebeam or similar tools (e.g., Adobe) is required.
Proficiency in MS Project is required for creating and reviewing project plans; strong MS Excel skills
Excellent communication skills, able to bridge communication between field teams and project leadership.
EDUCATION: Bachelor s degree is preferred but not required; candidates with equivalent experience
Other Requirements:
50-100% Travel - Domestic
Over-time - which covers weekends, holidays, and shutdowns, when required
