What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional-Dance (SY 25/26) position at Calabasas School?
SUMMARY: Under basic supervision, provides instructional support to teacher(s) to enhance the learning environment of students.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assists in the design, development, and implementation of lesson plans modeled by certified teacher.
- Assists in the planning and preparation of instructional materials and lessons that meet the needs of students. Supports group and individual activities.
- Assists teacher with student behavior management.
- Assists with all online testing, including preparation and completion, as needed.
- Assists with preparing physical environment that meet the needs of students.
- Assists with maintaining student records/attendance requirements/ and other related reports.
- Assists in maintaining supply inventory.
- Completes other duties as assigned or required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; AND Associate Degree OR minimum of sixty (60) credits post-secondary education OR passing score on a paraprofessional test; AND two (2) years of experience working with students; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Required Knowledge of:
- Stages of childhood development.
- Principles, practices, and methods of teaching.
- District, School Board, and Department policies and procedures.
- Methods of classroom management. Supervising and instructing students.
Required Skills in:
- Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with coworkers and other individuals in contact during the course of work; communicating clearly and concisely; bi-lingual preferred.
- Operating a personal computer utilizing standard software such as Microsoft Office and some specialized software; functioning standard office equipment.
- Planning and implementing lesson plans and activities.
- Practicing methods involved in providing quality customer service.

- Work is performed in a standard classroom environment.
