What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Representative position at Cal.net?
Cal.net is a growing internet service provider connecting homes and businesses across the Central Valley and Northern California. We're looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our residential sales team in Turlock, CA — someone who's energized by the phone, comfortable working a CRM all day, and good at turning a conversation into a closed sale.
This is not a door-to-door role. You'll work from our office, making outbound calls to prospects and following up on inbound leads, with a goal of signing up new residential customers for our internet and Main Street Mobile products.
What You'll Do
- Make outbound sales calls to prospective residential customers generated through our CRM and marketing campaigns
- Handle inbound calls from interested customers and walk them through our residential internet and mobile plans
- Manage your pipeline daily in HubSpot and Sales Rabbit — logging calls, tracking follow-ups, and moving leads through the sales process
- Explain pricing, coverage, and installation timelines clearly and accurately
- Hit monthly sales targets through a mix of new sign-ups and upgrades
- Follow up consistently with warm leads and past inquiries who haven't yet converted
- Coordinate with the installation and customer service teams to ensure a smooth handoff after the sale
- Keep customer records accurate and up to date in our CRM systems
What We're Looking For
- Previous sales experience, ideally phone-based or inside sales (telecom or ISP experience is a plus, but not required)
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls every day
- Experience with HubSpot and/or Sales Rabbit strongly preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
- Strong communicator who can build rapport quickly and handle objections without getting rattled
- Self-motivated and comfortable working toward monthly quotas
- Reliable, organized, and comfortable with routine CRM data entry
Compensation & Location
- Hourly base pay ($16.90 to $21.00, based on experience) plus commission. Targeted annual earnings are expected to range from $70,000 to $80,000.
- Overtime may be available, this is a non-exempt position
- Full-time, in-office position based in one of our offices (Turlock, Sonora or Shingle Springs, CA)
