Position Information:
- Current Vacancy: One (1) full-time position, with full benefits
- Reporting Schedule: Full-time, 12 months per year, 10 hours per day, 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., possible nights and weekends)
- Interviews: Appraisal Interviews tentatively scheduled for the week of August 17, 2026.
- Pre-Employment Process: Selected applicants will be required to undergo a background investigation, including but not limited to fingerprinting, drug screening, pre-employment medical examination, and reference checks.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in political science, public policy, public administration, business administration, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in government and public affairs, or legislative analysis and outreach preferably in a public utility, including one year at a supervisory or lead level.
- Highly Desirables: Experience leading City or Utility strategic communications that connect with stakeholders/community as well as regional, state, and federal legislative leadership
