Dishwasher (Mornings: Part-time)

Cajun Kitchen Cafe is looking for part-time Dishwashers to join our Goleta teams.

Schedule:

For the Calle Real Location

8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, & Sunday

For the Hollister Location

8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, & Sunday

A dishwasher's responsibilities include collecting used dishes, plates, and utensils, loading the washing machines, and stacking washed items appropriately.

Responsibilities

A dishwasher has the following responsibilities and duties:

• Locate and retrieve all soiled dishes and dining utensils
• Clean, scrub, and sanitize all dining ware items
• Maintain and troubleshoot the dishwashing machine
• Manage detergent and sanitation levels for the dishwashing machine
• Maintain appropriate salt levels for the water softener
• Provide cleaning assistance to preserve cleanliness in the kitchen and preparation areas
• Organize and put away all the towels
• Take out all trash from the kitchen area
• Sweep and mop the dishwashing and preparation area
• Assist the BOH team, only during slow periods and when instructed by BOH leadership
• Responsible for locking up the restaurant before clocking out

Requirements:

A dishwasher should have the following skills, education, and experience:

• Ability to work on their feet for long periods (7-8 hours)
• Physically able to lift up to 50lbs
• Able to work with a hand submerged underwater for periods
• Basic problem-solving and communication skills
• Willing to comply with all food safety procedures
• Ability to follow directions and take instructions
