What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Cajun Kitchen Cafe?
Cajun Kitchen in Ventura is in search of an energetic and cheerful Host to join our Downtown team for a weekend-morning position. Busser shifts will be available upon the candidate's availability and progress.
Host Schedule
- Saturday & Sunday
- 9 am - 2 pm
The host's duties primarily focus on ensuring the guests have a positive experience when entering the restaurant.
The host's duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Manage the wait list and write down the party's names/seating preferences/size
- Guide guests to their table
- Provide patrons with wait-time estimates and seating area restrictions.
- Handing customers the food and drink menus
- Optimizing seating arrangements to move forward the wait list
- Rolling Silverware
- Assist the bussing team in clearing and cleaning tables.
- Roll silverware
- Some responsibilities and duties are subject to change.
Host skill requirements:
- A friendly and welcoming attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Fast-paced work ethic
- A loud voice to call out the party's names
- Physically able to work 5-6 hours on their feet
