WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The National Sales Manager is a key leader responsible for driving revenue growth across foodservice, wholesale, and food manufacturing channels. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this role leads the sales team, manages distributor partnerships, and collaborates cross-functionally to scale the business as we expand operations, including the launch of our Blue Mountain Mill in 2026.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and execute a national sales strategy to achieve ambitious revenue and growth targets
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Build and expand strong relationships with distributor partners and key customers, driving joint business success
- Oversee sales forecasting, planning, and performance management to ensure alignment with company objectives
- Represent the company in the market through customer engagement, industry events, and tradeshows
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to deliver seamless execution and customer satisfaction
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and channels to support long-term growth
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7 to 10 years of sales leadership experience, including direct experience managing and developing high-performing sales teams.
- Demonstrated experience scaling brands and sales organizations through periods of rapid growth.
- Direct experience selling food products on wholesale and foodservice channels.
- Strong experience working with foodservice distributors, including building joint business plans, managing trade programs, and coaching distributor sales teams.
- Proven success operating in a matrix environment, partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Production, Finance, and senior leadership.
- Robust understanding of price, margin, and trade spend management.
- Strong forecasting, planning, and analytical skills.
- Strategic thinker who will lead day-to-day execution.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Hospitality-first mindset that prioritizes customer experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and CRM platforms.
- Ability to travel for customer visits, distributor engagements, tradeshows, and industry events.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Direct experience selling ingredients, flour, or comparable food products.
- Experience owning a rolling forecast and translating data into action.
- Growth mindset and solutions-oriented approach; able to navigate ambiguity and lead through change.
- Experience with NetSuite, Nutshell, or comparable ERP/CRM systems is a plus.
- Background in the baking, milling, or specialty food industry strongly preferred.
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
