Job Description
We are looking for a System Administrator to be responsible for VMware vSphere installation, configuration, and management. This position will be full-time and onsite in Fort Meyers, FL.
What You'll Do
- VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter Server) - installation, configuration, and management
- SAN and traditional storage management
- Virtual machine provisioning, templates, and lifecycle management
- Performance monitoring and capacity planning
- Storage: SAN/NAS technologies (Dell EMC, Pure Storage, etc.)
- Networking: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, load balancing (F5)
- Backup/Recovery: Veeam
- Operating Systems: Windows Server and Linux administration
- Understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Experience with monitoring tools
- Knowledge of security best practices and hardening procedures
- Patch management and upgrade planning experience
- Documentation skills for procedures and infrastructure diagrams
- Technical Skills - Core VMware
- Scripting: PowerShell, Ansible experience
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
