POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Slot Tech Supervisor, the Slot Tech II is responsible for advanced maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of slot machines. This role serves as a lead technician, supporting team development, coordinating with internal departments and vendors, and ensuring optimal machine performance, compliance, and inventory control.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform advanced diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repair on all gaming machines.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide guidance to Slot Tech I team members on complex machine issues.
- Assist in training and mentoring Slot Technicians and Slot Hosts on basic machine functions, troubleshooting, and guest service support.
- Coordinate with the Gaming Department on RAM clears, machine verifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee parts inventory, including tracking, ordering, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Act as primary liaison with vendors for escalated repair issues, parts ordering, and technical support.
- Coordinate and execute slot machine moves, conversions, and installations in alignment with floor changes directed by Slot Management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance logs, inventory, and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with all gaming regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
- Assist in planning and execution of projects, including new game installs and large-scale conversions.
- Support daily slot operations to ensure maximum machine uptime and guest satisfaction.
- Safeguard company assets at all times.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting experience with slot machines or similar equipment.
- Proven ability to diagnose complex issues and provide repair assessments and recommendations.
- Experience with parts inventory management and/or ordering processes.
- Working knowledge of gaming regulations, including RAM clear procedures and compliance standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and support team members.
- Solid communication skills for working with vendors, internal departments, and leadership.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail in recordkeeping and inventory tracking.
- Guest service focused mindset.
- Minimum of 2 years of slot technician experience preferred; at least 1 year of direct slot technician experience required. Additional mechanical or technical experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong communication skills required, including the ability to read and interpret technical instructions, write clear and concise reports, and effectively communicate with guests, team members, and management. Must demonstrate active listening and the ability to explain technical information in an understandable manner.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
CERTIFICATE & LICENSES:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Cahuilla Gaming License and submit to random drug/and or alcohol testing.
- Ability to obtain a California Driver’s License.
- Ability to complete necessary Casino Essentials courses to carry out the job responsibilities.
- Ability to provide necessary required licenses or certifications for a specific position to ensure job is carried out safely and effectively.

Applicants who are hired and fail to meet the agreed upon formal training program, will be discharged upon failure to complete the specified training as so scheduled.
