Join our dynamic team as a Restoration Demolition Technician and become a vital part of the restoration industry! In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for safely removing materials damaged by water, fire, mold, storms, or other disasters to prepare properties for the restoration process. Your construction experience and attention to detail will help homeowners get back on their feet quickly and safely, ensuring a smooth transition from damage to rebuild. Responsibilities
- Perform selective demolition and tear-out of damaged materials such as drywall, insulation, flooring, carpet, trim, cabinets, and fixtures
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other restoration industry equipment to safely remove and dispose of damaged materials and debris
- Set up containment barriers, floor protection, and other safety measures to protect unaffected areas of the property
- Properly wear and use PPE, including respirators, gloves, and protective suits as required
- Document all work performed accurately, including photos and records of conditions before, during, and after demolition
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and uphold safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of construction experience required
- Prior experience in restoration, demolition, or mold remediation is highly preferred
- Knowledge of water damage restoration, fire restoration, and mold remediation processes is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and demolition equipment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines diligently
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Strong physical stamina to handle lifting, bending, and working in attics, crawlspaces, and confined spaces
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure safe, clean, and thorough work
- Valid driver’s license preferred; ability to travel between job sites as needed
- Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including 24-hour availability to respond to emergency jobs while on call
- Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
