Job Summary
Cafe On Me is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Coffee Shop Worker to support daily café operations and provide a welcoming experience for guests. This role involves taking orders, preparing and serving coffee and other beverages, assisting with food service, maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and supporting the café team.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, espresso-based drinks, and other café beverages according to established procedures.
- Assist with preparing and serving pastries, snacks, and other café menu items.
- Ensure orders are accurate, complete, and presented properly.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and courteously.
- Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and beverage options.
- Assist customers with menu selections and communicate special requests to the appropriate team members.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments accurately.
- Maintain clean and organized counters, tables, service stations, and work areas.
- Restock coffee, ingredients, cups, lids, napkins, utensils, and other café supplies.
- Help prepare service stations and set up the café for daily operations.
- Clean and maintain coffee machines, equipment, and utensils according to established procedures.
- Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Communicate customer concerns, supply needs, and equipment issues to supervisors.
- Support coworkers during busy service periods to maintain efficient operations.
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general café duties.
- Help maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation, and order accuracy.
- Handle food, beverages, equipment, and supplies carefully and responsibly.
- Perform other coffee shop service and support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous coffee shop, café, restaurant, food service, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
