We are seeking an experienced, polished, and hospitality-driven Bartender/Mixologist to join our fine-dining team. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service, preparing cocktails with precision and consistency, and creating a welcoming, refined experience for every guest.

The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, proper glassware, and elevated service standards. This individual must be organized, detail-oriented, composed under pressure, and capable of maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and professionalism.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve classic, signature, and contemporary cocktails according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations based on guest preferences, menu selections, and dietary considerations.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, cocktail ingredients, garnishes, glassware, and beverage preparation techniques.
• Deliver polished, attentive, and personalized service while maintaining appropriate pacing and guest engagement.
• Accurately enter orders, process payments, and manage guest checks through the point-of-sale system.
• Complete all opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities thoroughly and on time.
• Maintain an immaculate, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service.
• Inspect bottles, glassware, garnishes, juices, syrups, and other ingredients for quality and freshness.
• Clean and sanitize bar tools, equipment, work surfaces, storage areas, and glassware according to established standards.
• Prepare juices, syrups, infusions, garnishes, and other cocktail components as required.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate product shortages, breakage, waste, or quality concerns to management.
• Follow proper portioning, recipe, and cost-control procedures.
• Check guest identification and comply with all alcohol-service laws and responsible-service standards.
• Work closely with servers, support staff, culinary team members, and management to ensure seamless service.
• Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns professionally, discreetly, and promptly.
• Maintain composure, urgency, and attention to detail during high-volume service.
• Participate in beverage education, menu tastings, pre-shift meetings, and ongoing training.
• Uphold all restaurant policies, appearance standards, safety procedures, and service expectations.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a fine-dining, luxury hotel, craft cocktail, or upscale restaurant environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage service.
• Ability to follow detailed recipes and reproduce drinks consistently.
• Excellent communication, organization, and guest-service skills.
• Professional appearance, polished demeanor, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong sense of urgency without sacrificing accuracy or hospitality.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
• Basic math skills and experience operating a point-of-sale system.
• Knowledge of proper sanitation, food safety, and responsible alcohol service.
• Must meet all state and local requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move throughout the duration of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, lift, carry, and transport supplies.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to safely handle glassware, bottles, bar tools, and beverage equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that may include loud noise, limited space, and varying temperatures.

Availability

Candidates must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Scheduling may vary depending on business levels and operational needs.
