Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, cocktails and specialty beverages with precision and care
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately, upselling add-ons and providing friendly assistance throughout their visit
- Operate POS system to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with attention to detail using proper cash handling procedures
- Assist in food preparation and serving snacks or light meals as needed, ensuring quality standards are met
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high standards of service
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within cafés or retail environments
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, food safety regulations, and food handling procedures
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient sales processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours without compromising quality
- Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
- Cocktail and alcohol serving experience
