Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waitstaff member to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing attentive service, managing customer orders, and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are maintained. Experience with POS systems, food handling, and guest relations is preferred to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, including bussing tables and cleaning workstations
- Assist with food preparation, food safety compliance, and kitchen support as needed
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues professionally, and foster positive guest relations
- Follow all sanitation, health, and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest relations effectively
- Excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for cashiering and handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards is preferred
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed in the hospitality industry
- Previous experience in food handling, serving, bussing, or host/host roles is advantageous
