Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, including taking orders, recommending drinks, and handling inquiries
- Manage cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with accuracy using retail math and basic math skills
- Maintain cleanliness and proper food safety standards in the bar area according to health regulations
- Restock supplies and ensure all bar equipment is functioning properly
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies and verify guest age using appropriate identification methods
- Assist in setting up for events such as banquets or catering functions when required
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service during busy periods
- Manage time effectively during shifts to serve multiple tables or bar stations efficiently
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly manner
- Experience in fine dining, nightclub, banquet, or food service environments preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service policies
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and sales transactions accurately
- Previous experience with serving, catering, or hospitality roles within the food industry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with retail math, cash handling, and food handling procedures
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and guests
