Residential Housekeeper

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Residential Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of private homes. This vital role ensures that living environments are hygienic, comfortable, and welcoming for residents and guests alike. As a Residential Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks that contribute to the comfort and safety of the household.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation throughout the residence including kitchen, bathrooms, living room, dining room, and bedrooms
• Vacuum upholstered furniture, wall/ceiling vents, vacuum and mop floors
• Support housekeeping management by adhering to schedules, following safety protocols, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness at all times

Skills

• No experience necessary, will train on the job
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the day
• Customer service-oriented attitude with clear communication skills to respond effectively to household needs

Additional Info

Currently it's just me (Samantha (the owner)) and 1 employee (Sarah). We are working about 40 - 60 hours a week and need some help. I'm looking to hire 2 people to cut our time in half. We will work Monday - Thursday (Sarah takes every other Friday off) starting at 8:30am and getting back to our vehicles anywhere from 12pm - 4pm. I do have some current clients that would like more frequent cleans and some new clients waiting for their cleans to begin so there are opportunities for more hours if needed.

I'm starting the hourly wage at $15/hour for the first 1 - 3 months. I will train you day one (paid) and evaluate you throughout those first few months. If you are showing initiative and progress I will increase the hourly rate. After 90 days your optional benefits will kick in, 401k matching, insurance, and PTO. From there, if you continue to show up and excel you will have opportunities for raises.

I provide transportation from my house to the jobs for the day and back, you will need to find transportation from your place to mine. I provide all cleaning supplies and equipment as well.
