15 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN THE FOOD AND BEVERAGE INDUSTRY.

The Plant Manager will lead the manufacturing and warehouse teams, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure operational excellence. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, manage resources effectively, and foster a culture of safety and food compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Direct daily plant and warehouse teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Hire, train, develop, and evaluate key team members.
  • Maintain a cohesive team environment with open communication and collaboration.

Operations Management

  • Manage daily plant and warehouse operations, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, engineering, safety, and supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with SQF, GMP, HACCP, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Maintain OSHA compliance and safety records.

Quality & Food Safety

  • Drive a strong food safety culture through training, audits, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in HACCP team activities and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Act as backup for SQF Practitioner and Inventory Manager for mock recalls.

Customer & Regulatory Compliance

  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring excellent communication and service.
  • Stay updated on regulatory and customer requirements; ensure readiness for inspections and audits.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and analyze KPIs; provide feedback to drive accountability and performance.
  • Collaborate with maintenance to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste and optimize resource utilization.
  • Lead major projects for new packaging lines or process improvements.

Additional Duties

  • Complete any tasks assigned by senior management.
  • Provide coverage for responsibilities during absences as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of SQF, GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
