SUMMARY:
The Senior Sales Finance Analyst will serve as a strategic partner to the Marketing team, providing financial insights, analysis, and support to drive brand growth, optimize spend, and improve ROI across marketing initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of both finance and marketing dynamics, with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Partnership & Strategic Support
- Collaborate closely with Brand Managers, Trade Marketing, and Digital teams to support campaign planning, execution, and performance analysis.
- Provide financial guidance on marketing investments, including media, promotions, sponsorships, and innovation launches.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for marketing spend, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and financial targets.
- Monitor actuals vs. budget, investigate variances, and provide timely reporting to stakeholders.
Financial Analysis & Modeling
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate marketing ROI, customer acquisition costs, and promotional effectiveness.
- Analyze syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI) and consumer insights to support pricing, product mix, and channel strategies.
Reporting & Insights
- Prepare monthly and quarterly performance dashboards for marketing leadership.
- Deliver ad hoc analysis and presentations to support decision-making and executive reviews.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Enhance financial processes related to marketing spend tracking and accruals.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 5 years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis, preferably in CPG or food industry.
- Strong understanding of marketing finance, including media, trade spend, and consumer promotions.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with D365, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus.
