Job Description:
The Opportunity:
- Comprehensive support to offices within the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) (SEA 21) that are responsible for managing and maintaining the U.S. Navy's surface ships.
- Integrate maintenance strategies, modernization plans, training needs, and technical, logistics, and programmatic efforts to best manage the lifecycle of U.S. and partner Navy surface ships and systems from fleet introduction through transfer or disposal.
- Main objectives are to assist with program management, technical expertise, logistics, financial management, and information technology across multiple ship classes and systems.
- Key activities include supporting ship modernization efforts, managing maintenance and readiness programs, providing training systems support, and handling administrative and financial tasks.
- Program aims to ensure that Navy ships remain operationally effective throughout their lifecycle while optimizing costs and resources.
Responsibilities:
- Overarching responsibility is to provide life cycle modernization, maintenance and sustainment support to LPD 17 Class.
- Develop logistics plans for equipment, spares and maintenance. Assist in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
- Support multiple meeting formats (e.g. Integrated Logistics Management Teams (ILSMTs) and Class Management Meetings) by meeting participation, preparing meeting correspondence and presentation material, and action item tracking and resolution.
- Assess and recommend the feasibility of proposed approaches to solve moderately complex logistics problems.
- Prepare and present reports, studies, cost analyses, and briefings,
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with customer and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Secret Clearance – must be current
- 8 years of relevant logistics experience
- Well versed in the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Desired:
- 15 years of relevant logistics experience
- Familiarity with US Navy surface ship logistics systems, processes and activities
- Strong customer service orientation

The proposed salary range for this position is:
