What are the responsibilities and job description for the Government Property Custodian position at CACI?
The Opportunity:
This position is responsible for the inventory, distribution, maintenance, and disposal of government property (GFP and CAP) in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a subject matter expert on government regulations covering government property (GFP and CAP).
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of all government property (GFP and CAP) on various databases
- Conduct regular audits/ inventory of government property to verify accountability
- Ensure all transactions involving government property are properly documented, including hand receipt and disposal records
- Distribute government property to authorized users following established procedures and documentation
- Prepare and submit required reports on status and condition of government property (GFP and CAP)
Qualifications:
Required:
Education - High school diploma or GED
Experience - Five (5) years of experience in government property management, inventory control, or a related field.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Expert knowledge of government property management and procedures (GFP and CAP)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel) and property management software

Pay Range:
This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location.
Minimum Required Hourly Wage:
$28.63
