Electrical Engineer
Design and analyze electrical distribution systems for commercial, industrial, data center, and healthcare facilities
Duties:
• Design and develop construction drawings and technical specifications for various power distribution
systems
• Perform load-flow, short circuit, protective device coordination, and arc flash hazard studies using SKM
Power Tools software
• Create budgetary designs to assist project managers in establishing price estimates for project bids
• Support projects during construction by providing technical oversight, guidance, reviewing submittal
documents, requests for information, and changes
• Visit job sites as needed to assist in solving problems that arise during construction
• Proficient with Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) as well as PDF markup tools (Bluebeam)
• Become proficient in Autodesk, lighting calculation, pull calculation, and heat calculation software (Revit,
Cymcap, etc.)
• Help create engineering standards as needed to produce repeatable and professional work
• Complete any other duties assigned by supervisor
Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Basic knowledge and application of principles in electrical engineering and other disciplines
• Self-starter with good leadership, written, and oral communication skills
• Knowledgeable in the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all other industry codes and standards as
necessary
• Demonstrates strong time-management skills with the ability to complete tasks promptly, even under
high-pressure conditions, while remaining focused and composed
• Must hold or be willing/eligible to earn a Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Positive attitude and the ability to work well with a team, including internal staff, customers and other
vendors
• Successful background check and pre-employment drug screen
• Current Utah drivers license with a satisfactory motor vehicle report
