As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Accounting Generalist to support our expanding finance operations. This role is responsible for a broad range of accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable support, financial reporting, and cross-department coordination. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with high transaction volume.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Support Accounts Payable by processing vendor invoices, preparing payments, reconciling statements, and addressing vendor inquiries.
- Assist with Accounts Receivable functions, including applying payments, preparing invoices, and researching discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports, summaries, and supporting schedules for management.
- Monitor expense categories, support budget tracking, and assist with variance analysis.
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation for all accounting activities.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure smooth financial workflows and resolve billing or payment-related issues.
- Assist with annual audit preparation and respond to auditor requests.
- Participate in improving internal controls, financial processes, and system efficiencies.
- Perform additional accounting or administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting practices.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft 365 (especially Excel), and internet-based tools.
- Experience in the wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing industry preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality in handling financial information.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
- Ability to commute to or relocate to Piscataway, NJ prior to starting the role.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
