What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Home Volunteer position at Cabrini of Westchester?
Volunteer
Come join us at Cabrini of Westchester! We are a 304-bed, Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility founded in 1974 in continuation of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini’s legacy of serving those in need through works of healing, teaching, caring and giving.
We have many Volunteer opportunities, including:
- Helping to escort residents to programs.
- Resident visits.
- Assisting with meals.
- Palliative care assistance (playing games, reading, etc.).
These are just a few examples of the help needed.
We are flexible with scheduling, but the greatest need is every day between 10:00am and 3:00pm.
Please apply by answering the screener questions after uploading your resume.
If selected, you will be asked to complete a health screen form. The NYS Department of Health also requires that we have documentation of immunity to Measles and Rubella for all volunteers, as well as a negative PPD test for Tuberculosis that was completed within the last 12 months. We would also need a copy of the COVID-19 vaccination.
Please feel free to ask any questions. You can also forward this message to anyone else who is interested in volunteering.
You may submit the health screen form in any of the following ways:
- E-Mail: hr@cabrini-eldercare.org
- Fax: HR Department 914-693-8908
- Drop it off in person. (Please call to set up a time for dropping it off)
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us!
