Come join us at St. Cabrini Nursing Home!  We are a 304-bed, Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility founded in 1974 in continuation of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini’s legacy of serving those in need through works of healing, teaching, caring and giving.

We are seeking to fill the position of Director of Therapeutic Recreation.

• $75,000 to $80,000 annually based on skills and experience.

Director of Therapeutic Recreation Introduction:

This role is responsible for administration, organization, and operation of the Therapeutic Recreation (TR) Department.  They develop, implement, and evaluate therapeutic recreation programs based on comprehensive resident assessments to meet identified needs, interests, and functional abilities.

Director of Therapeutic Recreation Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
• A minimum of two years full time paid experience in activities program in a health care setting including Supervisory experience.
• Preferred:  Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or eligibility to obtain.

Director of Therapeutic Recreation Job Summary:

• Develop Therapy Department policies and procedures.
• Select, train, supervise and evaluate Therapy Department staff.
• Monitor and manage the Department budget.
• Update and maintain activities records including staff meetings, stat reports, etc.
• Coordinate recreational programming.
• Develop monthly calendar based on residents’ interests and needs.
• Represent department in various departmental meetings.
• Assist in developing positive public relations for the Home.
• Participate in the facility’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI).
