OSP Design Engineer

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, we specialize in delivering high quality Fiber to the Home (FTTH) design solutions using industry leading standards and innovative engineering practices. We are seeking a skilled and detail oriented OSP Design Engineer to join our growing team.
Position Overview
The OSP Design Engineer is responsible for creating detailed fiber optic network designs for FTTH projects. This role spans the full engineering lifecycle from initial route planning and field coordination to delivering construction ready design packages. The ideal candidate is a self motivated professional with strong technical expertise, exceptional accuracy, and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high level preliminary route designs for all categories of HLE requests and provide initial cost estimates
- Collaborate with fielding teams to align on site visit schedules and data collection requirements
- Perform detailed OSP designs in strict alignment with the Customer’s Design Standards
- Prepare and deliver all documentation required for issuing complete construction ready design packages
- Maintain expected quality control grades across all assigned design projects
- Process revisions, cost change approvals, and as built redlines to ensure accurate record keeping
- Perform other related duties as needed to support project success
Required Qualifications
- In depth understanding of fiber optic design standards and industry best practices
- Working knowledge of ARCGIS and proficiency with field‑collection tools
- Strong understanding of FTTH network architecture
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in OSP Design or related roles.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and prints
- Skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Smartsheet
- Proficiency with GIS based design software, specifically ARCGIS
