Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager and Human Resources professional to lead our financial operations and HR functions. This pivotal role combines oversight of accounting practices , ensuring compliance, efficient payroll processing, accurate financial reporting, and managing HR initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will drive financial accuracy, streamline processes, and support our team’s growth and development. Responsibilities
Accounting & Payroll Functions
- Oversee financial accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash collections, and bank relations.
- Process payroll on a regular basis (e.g., bi-weekly), including taxes, deductions, and compliance.
- Calculate and pay monthly sales commissions.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and perform account reconciliations,
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure financial compliance.
- Process expense reimbursements and related documentation.
Operational & Reporting Duties
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of timesheets and employee records.
- Prepare HR and benefit-related reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with benefits carriers and payroll software providers.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive employee and financial data.
Human Resources Functions
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal laws.
- Administer employee benefits (insurance, 401(k), PTO, vacation, bonuses, overtime).
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, including job postings, applicant screening, interviews, and orientation.
- Maintain confidential personnel records and ensure compliance with HR regulations.
- Oversee performance reviews, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
- Administer fringe benefit programs and workers’ compensation claims.
- Support training, organizational development, and compliance programs.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
Experience: 5 years in HR, accounting, payroll, or related roles.
Skills:
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Paychex, ADP, Paycor etc.) and Financial and Operational Software (NetSuite, Sage etc.)
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Knowledge: Understanding of accounting standards, payroll regulations, and HR compliance laws.
