Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Data Analyst with a strong background in Accounting to join our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles with excellent data analytical skills, comfortable with technology, and keen attention to detail. This role will be responsible for performing financial data analysis using large datasets, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports, including general ledger entries, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Ability to analyze and scrutinize large datasets in Excel, MSSQL, Business Intelligence (BI) or similar tools.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Process accounts payables and receivables transactions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Assist with tax preparation and filing.
- Participate in special projects and provide support to the finance and operations teams as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA certification optional.
- 3 years of experience in data analysis and accounting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
