HOW YOU’LL BUILD LIFE INTO THE KITCHEN:
WHAT YOUR ROLE ACCOMPLISHES:
The General Laborer will support all aspects of the cabinet manufacturing process including material handling, sanding, finishing and shipping. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
Assist in the production of cabinet components according to specifications.
Handle, move, and prepare raw materials and finished products for production stages.
Operate basic woodworking machinery and power tools such as sanders, clamps and saws (training provided as needed).
Perform sanding, finishing, packaging, and inspection tasks to prepare cabinets for shipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies.
Report any issues with materials, tools, or production processes to the supervisor.
Support team members in various tasks to meet production schedules and quality standards.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read/write/communicate in English.
Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and basic power tools safely.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or within a team.
Basic math and measurement skills (e.g., reading a tape measure).
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Work in production areas with exposure to noise, dust, vibration, and ergonomic stressors while wearing required personal protective equipment.
Perform job duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive motion in a manufacturing environment.
Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds regularly, and greater weights with assistance as needed.
Extra Credit:
Prior experience in manufacturing or carpentry, especially within cabinet or wood product fabrication.
Familiarity with woodworking machinery such as table saws, routers, or CNC machines.
STANDARD FIRST SHIFT HOURS:
- Base first shift hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday-Friday.
STANDARD THIRD SHIFT HOURS:
- Base third shift hours are 9:30 pm to 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Sunday night to Thursday night.
