Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for a Groundskeeper to join the Plant Operations Team!
The Groundskeeper performs maintenance on the Medical Center grounds. This includes but may not be limited to painting, snow removal and other assigned tasks related to the responsibility of Plant Operations.
Major Job Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain medical center campus grounds. Mowing and maintaining of lawns. Maintaining of water systems for irrigation purposes. Painting of interior and exterior finishes. Pest control. Snow removal.
Coordinate and complete special projects assigned.
Coordinate and complete daily preventive maintenance on all building systems assigned.
Fulfill responsibilities for on-call duties, when appropriate.
Monitor and maintain all building systems assigned.
Complete work requests and follow up as needed.
Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
Work within expense limits outlined at the start of specific projects.
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
Willing and able to work in environment with/around medical center patients.
Good communication skills are preferred.
Knowledge in the following areas is preferred: Life safety codes for Critical Access Medical center (CAH), carpentry, groundskeeping, knowledge in the use of various hand and power tools, and able to operate vehicles such as truck, tractor, front-end loader, ATV, snow plow, carts, and hand trucks.
Basic knowledge of the following codes and regulations is strongly preferred: Handling of asbestosis products, material Safety Data Sheets (use of), and medical center Incident Command System.
Schedule
Shifts: Days, but is not limited to all shifts.
Pace: Self pace.
Must be flexible in availability to working hours; job may require OT without prior notice.
Applicant may be available to work on-call hours and to fulfill the duties as required.
Educational Requirements
High School diploma or GED.
NIMS 100, 700 preferred.
Must have valid driver's license.
Experience
1 to 5 years experience in commercial groundskeeping preferred but not required.
