Temporary Furniture Mover / General Laborer – University Project

Location: LSUNO (University Campus)

Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts - PROJECT BEGINS NOV. 1ST

Duration: Approximately 3–4 weeks

Job Description:

Cabildo Staffing is seeking dependable, physically capable workers for a temporary university project at LSUNO. Workers will assist with relocating furniture, equipment, and other items from the TRAC Building to a designated warehouse and the arena.

Job Responsibilities:

• Move furniture, equipment, and other materials using dollies and other moving equipment.

• Safely lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Perform frequent bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.

• Follow proper lifting techniques, including bending at the knees.

• Work as part of a team to complete moving and relocation tasks efficiently.

• Maintain a safe and organized work area.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in furniture moving, warehouse moving, or similar physical labor is required.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks for an entire shift.

• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work Monday through Friday.

• Must be able to pass a background check to work on the university campus.

Additional Details:

• Pay: $15.00 per hour

• Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts

• Temporary assignment lasting approximately 3–4 weeks
