CAB Worldwide LLC (“CAB” or the “Company”) is searching for an exceptional and experienced Shipping professional to become its Manufacturing Facility Shipping Manager in Nacogdoches, Texas. This important management role is being created to strengthen internal receiving, warehouse and shipping operations while supporting the Company's continued growth initiatives and commitment to operational excellence.
CAB is a global engineering, manufacturing and supply chain management business that provides precision machined steel, iron and aluminum cast, forged and fabricated components and assemblies to original equipment manufacturers and distributors. Headquartered in Buford, Georgia, CAB has manufacturing and distribution operations in Texas and Washington and engineering and quality assurance offices in India and China, as well as distribution operations in Europe, Canada and Mexico.
This role will be a critical member of the management team supporting senior executive leadership. The successful candidate will be an energetic, hands-on leader with a proven track record of managing shipping/receiving operations, warehouse activities, inventory control and customer shipments while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be comfortable working with all levels of operations personnel, customers, suppliers and executive management. Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse management, and logistics is highly desirable.
Core Responsibilities:
Manage all warehouse, shipping and receiving operations for CAB Worldwide's Nacogdoches flange manufacturing facility.
- Lead daily shipping/receiving activities to ensure customer delivery requirements are achieved.
- Manage machine shop shipping and receiving personnel.
- Coordinate shipping activities with customers, carriers, freight providers and internal departments.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories and inventory control procedures.
- Ensure all customer shipments are processed accurately, on time and in compliance with customer requirements.
- Oversee packaging, labeling, export documentation and shipment preparation activities.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators including on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, productivity, safety and quality.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure product conformity and proper handling of nonconforming material.
- Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives throughout manufacturing and shipping operations.
Assist with manufacturing troubleshooting, process improvements and operational best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Assist executive management with special projects, operational initiatives and strategic growth activities.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, shipping or operations management within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience.
Experience managing inventory control, warehouse/shipping/receiving operations and customer shipments.
Experience working within a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, cycle counting and warehouse best practices.
- Experience with freight carriers, LTL, truckload, parcel shipping and logistics coordination.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop personnel across multiple departments.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience reading engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation preferred.
- APICS, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or similar operational certifications are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering or related field preferred.
