Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: SUMMARY Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer Executive Management, responsible to provide for the operational and financial management of the Graduate Medical Education Department and its accredited/non-accredited residency/fellowship training program. Requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of national accreditation policies, educational administration and hospital policies, as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. Will continually assess and direct a wide range of programmatic issues including long range planning and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) program applications. Will ensure various administrative committees such as the GMEC, Clinical Competency Committees and the Program Evaluation Committees operate in accordance with ACGME standards. Oversee research activities related to the GME Program along with the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and Program Directors (PD). Plans and orchestrates the recruitment of residents, will have the oversight of all medical residency Program Coordinators, will develop projects, analyze administrative workflow, maintain databases and GME web content, communicate with faculty and trainees regarding a range of issues, and manage internal and external program relations including allied health rotations as designated along with Nursing Administration. Oversight of the Simulation Learning Center and its operations.This position also has reporting accountability to the DIO and Chair of the Graduate Medical Education program. REQUIREMENTS 1. Bachelors degree in Healthcare, Business, or Education is required. Masters preferred. 2. Five (5) years of administrative or management experience is required. Experience in healthcare or education administration is preferred. 3. Effective written and oral communication skills are required. 4. Proficient working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook is required. 5. Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality is required. 6. Ability to organize information and prioritize workload is required. 7. Knowledge of Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) rules and regulations is required within six (6) months of hire.
