Contract Occupational Therapist - Outpatient Clinic

Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations in a busy outpatient clinic on a contract (1099) basis. The therapist will conduct thorough assessments, determine medical necessity, establish individualized plans of care, and communicate findings with patients, caregivers, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations
• Assess functional abilities, deficits, and rehabilitation needs using standardized and clinical assessment tools.
• Develop individualized plans of care with measurable goals based on evaluation findings.
• Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
• Communicate evaluation results and recommendations with patients, caregivers, physicians, and clinic staff.
• Recommend appropriate frequency and duration of therapy services.
• Ensure documentation meets payer, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care.
• Maintain current licensure and required certifications.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Minimum of one year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Schedule

• Contract (1099) position.
• Flexible scheduling based on clinic needs.
• Evaluation appointments scheduled by the clinic.

Compensation

• Competitive per-evaluation contract rate.
• Contractor is responsible for maintaining professional licensure, liability insurance, and applicable taxes.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform patient assessments in an outpatient clinical setting.
• Ability to use computers and clinical documentation systems.

Pay: $60.00 per hour
