What are the responsibilities and job description for the INFORMATION OFFICER I (SPECIALIST) position at CA High Speed Rail Authority?
Under the direction of the Manager II, the Information Officer I (Specialist) is responsible for shooting and editing video that will be used for dissemination to or used by professional media outlets, the High-Speed Rail Authority’s (Authority) website and social media applications. This position will help document current and future construction of the High-Speed Rail project, meetings, events, and produce stories about the Authority’s program. The incumbent is responsible for capturing still photos, audio, and videos and will work with all levels of staff at the Authority, consultants, staff at other state agencies, high-profile public officials, and the public.

Part-time telework is available for this position for California residents based on the requirements of the position and may be discussed during the interview process. Hiring interviews may be available virtually, using teleconferencing or video conferencing options.
While working on-site, the incumbent works in a professional office environment, in a climate-controlled area which may fluctuate in temperature and is under artificial light. The incumbent will be required to use a computer, mouse, and keyboard, and will be required to sit for long periods of time at a computer screen. The incumbent must be able to focus for long periods of time, multi-task, adapt to changes in priorities, and complete tasks or projects with short notice. Employee must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., lift, push and carry heavy audio/visual equipment and be able to operate equipment while standing in the same position for long periods of time. The incumbent must develop and maintain cooperative working relationships and display professionalism and respect for others in all contact opportunities.

Experience with digital non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, AVID, etc., on a professional level.
Experience in producing voiceovers, vosots and packages on a professional level and the ability to produce this independently.
Experience working with various government entities, organizations, the media, talent and the public in general.
Innovative approach when shooting and editing.

Salary : $72,372 - $90,564
