About the Role
- The Temporary/Relief Primary Care Physician will provide services as permitted within the scope of practice for Primary Care Physician services in accordance with Institution/Facility policies and procedures.
- The Facility is situated in unincorporated southern San Diego County (Otai Mesa), near the Mexican border.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical reviews to determine the quality of clinical care delivered.
- Adhere to the CDCR/CCHCS medical staff by-laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Comply with universal infection control precautions.
- Obtain prior authorization for treatment as required by law.
- Ensure proper documentation in the patient/youth medical record.
Qualifications
- Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years performing services similar in scope.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of California.
- Must be a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy (M.D./D.O.), Board Certified.
- Maintain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certification.
Required Skills
- Proficient in the English language.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the CDCR/CCHCS.
- Ability to speak, understand oral and written communication, and write effectively in English.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in clinical reviews and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with CDCR/CCHCS medical standards of care.
Pay range and compensation package
$225/Hour. Malpractice Insurance is also included.
