The Sales Account Executive will lead the charge for generating new sales and building lasting client relationships across the IT and Cybersecurity industry. This is a B2B role focused on businesses in the 20–500 employee range. Client is seeking a highly motivated individual who is energized by the challenge of building and growing our business.

- 2-4 years of B2B sales experience in Managed IT/Cybersecurity services
- CRM experience
- Ability to effectively utilize MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
- Travel Requirements: Travels to and attends trade shows and or meetings as requested by the management team and or portfolio leader. Ability to travel up to 50% locally by car and/or 20% by plane, which may include weekend travel.
- Travel will be by car (rented car over 100 mile trip) or plane. For this position travel will be more like 40-50% travel

Primary Accountabilities
- Achieve Order Value sales quota as defined in the Performance Pay Compensation Plan, with new client acquisition as the top priority.
- Prospect, present, and close deals that generate new and profitable revenue for Client.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue objectives within your assigned territory.
- Manage all aspects of the sales cycle: qualification, sales strategy, resource coordination, negotiation, and close.
- Identify and pursue target clients in your assigned territory within the 20–500 employee range.
- Define and pursue the target market for Client IT and Cybersecurity products and services.
- Support Clients Sales Professionals in executing sales campaigns within their target accounts.
- Contact and qualify every inbound marketing lead passed to you.
- Pass all cross-sell leads to the appropriate Solution Sales Specialist.
- Segment existing clients by upsell potential and develop a prioritized contact plan.
- Build and execute Account Plans for key clients in partnership with the Sales Professional.
- Escalate client issues to the appropriate support teams accountable for resolution.
- Keep the assigned Sales Professional and Regional Sales Manager informed on all account activity.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date information in Client’s systems of record.
- Provide timely and accurate management reports, including pipeline forecasts.
- Accurately forecast all sales opportunities by stage in line with the 2026 and forward Sales Funnel Reporting Standards.
- Leverage partners and existing customers in your territory to support sales efforts.
- Develop and deliver compelling proposals that address client pain points and Client’s unique value proposition.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations to draft Statements of Work and other client agreements.
- Present Statements of Work, pricing, and supporting contractual documents for client signature.
- Attend city chamber events, trade shows, and meetings as requested by the management team or portfolio leader.
- Maintain regular face-to-face contact with clients and record all activity in Client’s CRM system.
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year); MBA a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years’ technical sales experience in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related industry preferred.
- Proven track record of successful sales growth and quota attainment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to connect with all personality types.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build compelling value propositions.
- Ability to qualify opportunities and apply knowledge of client needs to win new business.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) and CRM tools.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and remotely.
- Ability to travel up to 50% locally by car; approximately 20% by air, which may include occasional weekend travel. Valid driver’s license required.
