The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for multiple functions within the accounts receivable department, including processing invoicing efficiently and accurately. This role requires great attention to detail, a thorough understanding of accounting principles and a strong ability to communicate with customers and internal teams.
Job Functions
- Accounts Receivable Invoicing
- Process timely, accurate and complete invoicing for the Tax and Consulting Services and assist Advisory Services with entities.
- Communication with the financial advisor teams regarding outstanding balances, late payments, and any other issues related to accounts receivable.
- Manage timely, accurate and complete check and direct deposit for all entities, including application on appropriate invoices.
- Ability to go to the office several times a week to process any mailing requests, scan checks and statements
- Assist with questions, processing refunds, researching miscellaneous payments, etc
- Insurance
- Retrieve Insurance statements as required
- Maintain Insurance Blotter
- ABPG
- Retrieve Insurance statements as required
- Other Duties
- Update process documentation as we continue to expand and improve our processes.
- Ad hoc projects and responsibilities
- Provide coverage for team members during absences
Education | Skills Requirements
- Associate or BS/BA in Accounting or related area of study
- 2 years in a related accounting role
- Knowledge of Salesforce and Workday a plus
- Inter-personal and communication skills working with people at all levels
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the tasks assigned
- Analytical - Problem solving abilities
- Organized and able to prioritize work
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and diligence in completing tasks
OSHA Requirements
- The ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, to use the telephone and computer systems.
- File documents in high or low cabinets.
