What are the responsibilities and job description for the Records Management Specialist position at C2C LLC?
C2C LLC is seeking a Records Management Specialist to work with Records and Information Management (RIM) leadership and staff to conduct records and information management activities for J35 South. You will report to a manager and provide analytical support, manage projects, and make recommendations for implementing, and maintaining records and information management policies and procedures (for electronic and paper records and data). The position may require travel 5% of the time and is on-site in Norfolk, VA.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree; 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret
Experience:
- U.S. military background (10 years) preferred
- Knowledge of the Record and Information Management Program, applicable Federal and Public Laws/Executive Orders/DOD Directives, and National Archives and Records Administration guidelines and polices governing life-cycle management of records to include electronic records and information
- National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) Records Management Custodian course.
- One year of experience using CJCSM 5760.01A Joint Staff and Combatant Command Records Management Manual.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to J35S records management activities.
- Examine current J35 classified and unclassified records and processes to document current records management practices in the J35 with a goal of compliance with CJCSM 5760.01A Vol I and Vol II mandates.
- Support electronic and physical files management and maintenance through the use of Project and Enterprise Project Manager; Documentum, Logbook, and/or other tools
- Support paperless archives on the unclassified and secret JS networks and review both network drives and SharePoint repositories
- Collaborate with J35 knowledge managers to assess records management capabilities and gaps
- Support research and analysis of new records management processes and systems
- Provide recommendations for more productive and efficient records management
- Attend meetings and workings groups as required
