C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc., the leading asphalt manufacturer, and road builder in the state of Georgia has an immediate opening for a Field Safety Representative. This position will provide safety site support visits all divisions within the company. The Safety Representative will be expected to spend approximately 85% of their time in the field. This position will be responsible for a wide range of duties related to the safety of our employees and the traveling public in the State of Georgia.

- Good communication skills (Bi-Lingual preferred)
- Basic computer skills
- No fear of public speaking
- Ability to conduct training to large groups
- Confidence in making decisions
- Able to travel within the state (possible overnight)
- Provide Site Support visits all divisions including night work
- Approachable personality and ability to build working relationships with fellow employees and supervision
- General understanding of road construction including bridge, grading, and asphalt construction.
- Have valid driver’s license
- Time Management Skills
